For the first time, wine from this plot was bottled without forming part of a batch. The harvest chosen was 2017.
It owes its name to the fact that the old house, which housed the agricultural machinery, is located at the top. It is one of the oldest vineyards on the Quinta, it has 1.9 hectares and was planted in 1971 on schist soils, predominantly with the Touriga Francesa grape variety, but Tinta Barroca is also present, representing 30% of the total. The combination of these two varieties, in certain years, works very well, as the strength of Touriga Francesa is polished with the elegance of Tinta Barroca.
