Quinta do Monte Xisto Oriente Red 2021, 75cl
Quinta do Monte Xisto Oriente is a wine from two small plots exposed to the East. Its exposure and grape varieties give rise to a fresh and light wine, less heavy in color, with a lot of elegance and spicy notes. One of the parcels is Tinto Cão and the other Tinta Francisca.
The grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery, located in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in 20kg boxes. Fermentation took place in a cement vat with indigenous yeasts. This was followed by an 18-month internship in 600-liter barrels at the warehouse in Vila Nova de Gaia, close to the sea, with excellent temperature and humidity conditions.
