Quinta do Monte Xisto is made with grapes from our best plots, some exposed to the north and others to the south, seeking to find the balance between structure/body and elegance/acidity. The batch is made up of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Sousão.

The grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery (located in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Douro) in 20kg boxes. They were vinified in presses with foot treading. Fermentation took place over 6 days in the mill using indigenous yeasts. This was followed by an 18-month period in 600-liter barrels and 2,000-liter barrels at the warehouse in Vila Nova de Gaia, close to the sea, with excellent temperature and humidity conditions.
