At Quinta de Ventozelo, each grape variety is a story. The story of Syrah tells us about a surprise. From a grape variety that, although not native to the Douro region, showed an unexpected personality in Ventozelo. In order to mature its structure and enhance the exuberant fruit it showed us, we let it rest for a year in wooden barrels. The result is this memorable Oak Matured Syrah.
Wine with a beautiful ruby color and intense aromas of candied red fruits, very well combined with the spicy aromas of toasted wood. It is a powerful wine in the mouth, but very round and silky, with very fine and very ripe tannins.
