This is a full-bodied red wine with a 'Freixenista' character from the Douro Superior. Aroma of black fruits, with notes of liquorice, spices, violets, bergamot and rockrose, balanced with very elegant notes from the barrel ageing.
Very complex and elegant, very mature, with fine, firm but smooth tannins, making this wine long and full of fruity flavour, anticipating excellent potential for ageing in the bottle.
